Due to current Government tier restrictions, the restaurant at Wapping is closed. The takeaway and pre-order services both remain open.
The addition of a seasonal focused small plates menu launches on Friday 28th August for those wishing to dine in at our Wapping Restaurant.
The classic Fish & Chip menu will of course be available to both eat-in and takeaway diners.
The new menu will centre around locally sourced fish and shellfish, showcasing British seafood. This celebration of British seafood has always been on the cards; with the newly appointed Joseph Fowler as the head chef. Joe has worked at The Pony & Trap since 2017, gaining experience across each section in the kitchen. He has shown real talent as Head Pastry Chef and similarly when managing the kitchen as Sous Chef. During lockdown, Joe spent his time volunteering with the ‘Cheers Drive’ project by Caring in Bristol.
“The launch of the small plates menu gives us the opportunity to share our passion for seafood. The UK is an island that boasts such a vast array of produce which we don’t show off nearly enough! I’m really excited to get to have fish & shellfish as my main focus.”
Produce will be sourced mainly from Flying Fish; who specialise in seafood from the Devon and Cornish coasts. The Clifton Seafood Company, another Wapping Wharf resident, will also supply many special items too. Produce from The Pony & Trap garden will also feature. This will be largely in the form of pickles & ferments – an amazing way of enjoying the garden’s bounty all throughout the year.
