Salt and Malt at Chew Valley Lake is open for takeaway and collections!
Our opening times are:
We will be offering takeaway coffee/tea, soft drinks and ice cream from 10am onwards🍦.
Card payment only please! (Preferably contactless)💳
You can pre-order by telephone, to avoid the queue. Phone lines open at 11 AM Thursday-Sunday for same day collections only. We only have one phone line (Press 1 for restaurant), so if you can’t get through just keep trying. We are unable to take any voicemails or take any pre-order requests over email.
Pre-ordering has a £15 minimum spend.
Be aware, there are a limited number of collection slots, when they’re gone, they’re gone! (01275 333345).

We experience heavy queues throughout the day for our takeaway so please be patient with us. We may close our queue system early (anytime from 6.30pm) as the wait time can be up to 90 minutes long when busy and we only have capacity to serve those already in the queue.
Please check our social media (Instagram and Facebook) for daily updates on queue times and pre-order availability.
We politely ask our customers to take their fish and chips away and adhere to social distancing rules to ensure safety for everyone. We also ask that you follow signs, bring money for the car park (£2.20) and put your rubbish in the bins.
There are public toilets available on site. These are locked by Bristol Water and checked/cleaned daily. We take no responsibility for any of the public toilets on site.
